Hi folks,

Another year has passed! And what a year it was.

The antigunners have mounted an extreme effort to control our guns, but thanks to the NRA and all of you, their efforts were largely unsuccessful. Of course, some states are suffering from more restrict gun control laws, such as Connecticut, but overall the antigunners efforts proved fruitless. Thank God for that.

As far as M1911.ORG is concerned, we have unfortunately lost a friend. Our member, moderator and gun reviewer Steve Clark has passed away, leaving a huge gap in our ranks. Steve was a very nice guy and we all missed him, I am sure you do to. Our most sincere condolences to his wife.

Having entered 2014, we can only be skeptical about our efforts to bring you news from around the world. Our ranks are thinned and the financial crisis is affecting all of us. So it is becoming harder and harder for us to bring you the articles we want to bring you. We will do our best to provide you with 1911-related information as well as firearms-related information in general, but our efforts may be severely handicapped for reasons beyond our control. We promise you one thing though, we'll do our best to honor your loyalty and your friendship, like we always did all these years.

For our first quarter, we have already prepared a review of a 1911, which will appear in here in a couple of days (if not sooner) and of course we'll bring you coverage from the 2014 SHOT Show, like we've been doing in the past years. More will come, as the time passes.

At the moment, we would like to wish you a very happy new year. May 2014 proves to be a year full of happiness, health and prosperity for all of you.

For the whole M1911.ORG team
