Nighthawk Custom T3

The following pictures (courtesy of Nighthawk Custom and Scottsdale Gun Club) depict the new model that Nighthawk Custom is coming out with, called the T3.

As you can see, it is an Officers-size frame, matched to a true Commander-length slide (4.25"), with some special features which differentiate it from the traditional Talon III pistol.

First of all, it comes with Heinie Straight-8 sights, instead of the Novaks (it's a customer choice though, which sights he will get, my personal preference for this model would be the 10-8 ones).

The barrel is crowned flush with the barrel bushing, which is stainless steel, like the recoil spring cap.

Notice the new, very nicely sculptured mag well, which is machined in such a way to reduce printing, when the pistol is carried concealled (the usual role of such a pistol is concealled carry).

The mainspring housing is serrated instead of checkered (I am not very fond of this feature either).

And as you can see, the slide stop hole is beveled and the slide stop is trimmed flush with the frame.

M1911.ORG will soon have one of these pistols for reviewing, so keep coming back.

I would like to thank all the nice folks at Nighthawk Custom for providing us with the pictures of this pistol.
I want to also thank Greg at Scottsdale Gun Club (a Nighthawk Custom Dealer) for contributing several of the pictures posted here.
Finally I want to thank Andy (MCoupe in our Forums Site), whose help in making this preview a reality, was instrumental.
